Quinta Morazes is an old vineyard farm with a centuries-old construction, located in Rabo de Peixe, São Miguel - Azores. With views of the volcanoes of Sete Cidades and Fogo and the sea Atlantic Ocean, Quinta Morazes is just 6 minutes away by car from Santa Bárbara beach, known for its world-famous surf break.

Maria is a Vinyasa yoga teacher with more than 500 hours of certified teacher trainings over the past years. She was introduced to yoga through the practice of Iyengar yoga more than 10 years ago. This practice provided Maria deep knowledge about yoga foundations and alignment. Today, these are some of her main areas of interest alongside the exploration of movement.
Maria has a passion for movement in general, be it yoga, dancing or hiking.
With an academic background in classical and contemporary dance and the arts, Maria discovered her form of expression and reconnection through yoga. Hailing from Alentejo region in the south of Portugal, she fell in love with the natural beauty of the Azores and the authenticity of the locals. Choosing to put down roots, she decided to develop her own project in São Miguel, merging her passion for yoga with the joy of welcoming people.
All the way from Porto, Juliana has developed a fascination for travelling and living in other countries, finally finding her home in the island of São Miguel, Azores. Exploring, learning and adventure has always been components that compose and moves her. Invited by her mother, it was after her first yoga class that she felt another feeling within herself - a sense of connection and belonging. This ongoing “intimacy in progress” mixed with curiosity has led her to dive into the world of Yoga and for some time Ashtanga Vinyasa practices. For her, the need of moving slowly with a grounding foundation built by alignments, feels important.
Juliana has been part of two Hatha Yoga foundational workshops in Lisboa with Liliana Nunõ, between the years of 2017-2018 and in 2022 completed in Sweden a 200hr Vinyasa Yoga Certificate with Elin Jensen and Lisa Rhodiner. Juliana hopes to inspire others to also develop a forever curiosity and connection within oneself. She finds that through this, a stronger sense of self, confidence and believing in one self emerges, drawing us towards our authentic self.
Meet Filipe, a certified plant-based chef on a mission to transform the way we view and savor plant-based cuisine. With over a decade of personal experience crafting vegetarian delights for himself, family, and friends, Filipe felt a profound calling to elevate plant-based food to the forefront of his life's work.
Driven by his childhood spent amidst the verdant landscapes of Alentejo, Portugal, Filipe's passion for plants and their culinary potential blossomed from his daily adventures in nature. Inspired by his mother—a devoted doctor advocating for preventive medicine and plant-based nutrition—Filipe discovered his purpose: to make plant-based meals not only nutritious but irresistibly delicious.
His journey led him to Sweden, where he deepened his culinary expertise, and to New Zealand, where he enriched his knowledge of plant-based living. Since he came back to Portugal, in the middle of the pandemic, Filipe has been working on a project that aims to share the wealth of wisdom he's acquired along the way.
This project is called ‘Folha Do Chão’.The project ‘Folha Do Chão’ mission extends beyond mere culinary creations. It seeks to cultivate a more sustainable way of life, one rooted in nutrient-dense, wholesome plant-based foods, regenerative agricultural practices, and invigorating habits that promote happiness and vitality. Through his culinary artistry and commitment to holistic living, Filipe strives to create the ideal environment for nurturing a healthier, more vibrant lifestyle for all.
